When I hear statements like this, I ask follow-up questions: How many are actually using AI? What outcomes are they achieving? Has anything measurably improved?
Usually, silence follows.
Training completion is not adoption. Tool access is not adoption. Even tool login is not adoption.
Real adoption means people are using AI effectively to improve their work. Measuring that requires different metrics than most organisations track.

Why it matters: Deep adoption extracts more value than superficial use. Light usage doesn’t transform work.

Adoption Quality
How well is AI being used?
Metrics:

Why it matters: Poor quality use creates risk and doesn’t produce value.
